Kandis Pugh Alexander Featured In #MusicLov3rz October

Kandis Pugh Alexander grew up attending Triumph Church and Kingdom of God in Christ where she began singing in the choir at the age of 4. While attending Dekalb Elementary School of the Arts, she learned to play the guitar and began to write her own music. After graduating from Emory University in 2014, she began to sing on the worship team at her church where she shared a multitude of her written songs with the congregation. This experience is when she realized the power that her songs held which inspired her to continue to write and share even more. One of these songs was recently released on June 15, 2021 in memory of her aunt Shannon Mitchell entitled, “While I’m on Empty”. Kandis has always had a love for music, which drives her desire to help people through the lyrics and melodies that she creates. She has a mission in her heart to help people through music and community projects. Some of her goals include contributing to the homeless, curating worship experiences for all, prison outreach, supporting single mothers, supporting youth in forming their relationship with God, and catering to those with special needs. She is a loving wife, daughter, elementary school teacher, and music creator who is determined to use the gifts that God has given her to make an impact in her ministry.
