James Hardy started singing at the age of 8 in the church's children's choir and continued singing tenor over the next 7 years in the Youth, Men and Mass choir. At age 13 he was introduced to the world of classical music (mainly Opera) where he listened to the 3 Tenors, using Luciano Pavarotti as his primary vocal inspiration and even gleaned knowledge and experience from his autobiography and music.
When he was 15 years old he and his mom briefly attended another ministry where he directed a  small choir for their music department. In the summer of 1998 he attended the Los Angeles Conservatory of Music to study opera and it was there that he met his vocal teacher--who (impressed with his raw talent and potential) spent the next 2 years teaching him the basic foundations and principles of singing correctly. At age 16 he performed in his first musical rendition of the famous Christmas Russian Ballet "The Nutcracker" where he acted and sung the lead role of Franz but did not dance. At the end of 1999, he and his Mom attended another congregation which he continued to sing tenor in the Mass and Youth choirs along with one of the Praise Teams for 13 years.
James has sung lead Tenor roles in various Opera Productions. In 2006 gala "Everyone loves Opera", in 2007 "Die Fledermaus", in 2008 "Cosi Fan Tutte" in "2009 "Don Giovanni", in 2013 "Opera Gala at the Dickens Fair" and another opera production of "Cosi Fan Tutte". He has also done a few entertainment venues singing with a few opera colleagues in a comedic version of the "3 Tenors"
Over the last 16 years, He has done various mix tape albums along with studio work training as an engineer and mixer. He has also trained singers one on one, in groups, praise teams and at various churches and even assisted in vocal training students in college during a semester. He has done backup vocals for various Christian Gospel Artist and Rappers at places such as Capital Records in Hollywood and does all of his own backup vocals for his songs. He has performed on various gospel TV shows and other Christian venues. He also leads praise and worship for various ministries and on his spare time writes lyrics and melodies creating his own music and continues to devote this talents to lift up the name of Jesus.
James has traveled to and sung in various parts of the world in mission work such as Mexico, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Canada, Germany and Poland.
James Hardy has also displayed talents in other areas of entertainment. He was co-host on a part of a radio show in 2015. He has created and produced 2 films and is finishing up his 3rd film called “The Purpose” (a trilogy). He has also done interviews with many individuals who were running for politics and others of various professional fields and expertise.

About the song. This song was created from a place of brokenness and surrender. Often times the thought of being saved means that I no longer possess free will and I will forever serve God even if I do not want to and that is not true. Everyday I am faced with the challenge and the choice to either follow Jesus and reject my sinful nature or indulge my way of doing things. This has often led to much pain, hurt, delays and set backs in my walk with the Lord. This song follows that principle and delivers a powerful message to the one who hears it that God’s way is the best way. Realizing that our own way will bring us captive but the ways of the Lord will bring freedom this wonderful song wrapped with light soulful tones, melodic vocals and powerful anointing will empower every believer and even the sinner to say “Yes”.
