Jillian Baskerville Returns To #MusicLov3rz Magazine September Edition!
Jillian Baskerville was born and raised in Oak Park, Illinois. Grew up in the church and started singing at the age of 4, learned to play the piano at 6 years old. She also learned to play the alto saxophone at a young age as well. Jillian continued playing the piano and in the concert band (the alto saxophone) all the way to her senior year of high school. Jillian sung in the Oak Park River Forest High School Gospel Choir under the leadership of Mr. James Wiggins and Marsha Holmes. In her sophomore year Jillian became the President of Oak Park River Forest Gospel Choir and served until she Graduated. The choir also recorded an album during that time. Just before Jillian graduated Keith Butler asked her to join and record with Keith Butler & The Delegation for Christ Chorale Community Choir. Jillian moved to Los Angeles Ca. to attend Musicians Institute in Hollywood Ca., to pursue music professionally. From then on she met phenomenal singers and musicians in church and in the music industry. Jillian has toured the country singing in choirs as well in Gospel stage plays. She was apart of Andre Gouche' and the Praise Connection Singers in Los Angeles and song background for various Gospel and R&B artist. Jillian has always loved music. Her life is music, hair and fashion. She has always been fun and loving and truly loves God. She's truly a "Church Girl" her favorite bible verse Psalm 37:4-5. Jillian was the praise & worship leader at Calvary AME Church in Pasadena Ca, and the praise & worship leader at Ebeneezer Baptist Church in Los Angeles Ca. 3 years ago while singing background at the House Of Blues for gospel artist Chris Bolton. God spoke to Jillian about a female gospel group that consists of Praise & Worship leaders that can reach the world. So she reached out to women of God who could achieve the vision God gave her.
