It was undeniable that this little girl, with so much power and the anointing to capture the hearts of people with her voice, would one day become someone great in the music arena and Kingdom of God.
Growing up surrounded by musically inclined family members and friends, Ivory's hunger for music grew, and she began to desire nothing more than to live in the promises of God concerning her calling and gifts of singing and ministering to people, not just in her hometown, but to the nations.
After graduating high school (and becoming a teen Mother) with the support of her parents Ivory ventured to Jefferson City, Missouri to attend Lincoln University in the hopes of majoring in Music Performance Arts. Although she did not complete her degree she was however afforded a many great opportunities while in college to travel throughout the states singing for such people as; then Governor of Missouri Bob Holden, Reality TV Court Judge Maybelline Ephraim, as well a assisting in the writing and recording of background vocals for world renowned rapper Nelly, on a song called Heart of a Champion, just to name a few.
Shortly After returning home from Missouri, it wasn't long before Ivory was being called upon to travel throughout the nations to teach, help form and establish community choirs, and praise teams to places such as Panama, Africa, and England.
In the states she has professionally worked as lead/ background vocalist for Gospel recording artist and radio personality for Praise 100.9, Pastor William Becton. She still currently sings background wih Indie Gospel recording artist, writer and friend Patrick Love. She has written and sung with many Indie Gospel Groups, including her family's group known as Shabach. She has also written and sung several radio infomercials for one of Panama’s Gospel radio stations in Colon known as Manna on 98.1 FM.
It wasn’t until 2021, when Ivory had what she calls a “divine appointment”, and met her now producer Lawrence Jones, of the JonesBrandGroup while being featured on another artist of his new single called, Close.
A couple of weeks later Ivory spoke with Lawrence and shared with him that she was ready to step out from the shadows of the being in the background and to pursue her “God given purpose” to once again bless the nations with her gift of writing and anointed voices, but this time as a solo Indie Gospel Artist. Which has led to this moment and her new single being released called Constantly.
Ivory is married to her best friend, husband, keyboard player, and co-producer Micheal Morris. She believes that their union was “specially designed” by God for she known the value and major part that he has play in her life being her greatest supporter, motivator and musician. Together they have three beautiful blessings. Ro’Jay, Josiah and Madion, who also believe and stand in agreement with the things that God has promised and is doing in the life of their Mother.
Ivory believes wholeheartedly that remaining humble and keeping Christ first in everything that she has done is the key to her gifts making room, and God opening up unimaginable doors for her. And she truly believes that this is just the beginning, for her eye have not seen, nor have they heard all that God has in store for her and her family, because the best is still yet to come.
