Inspiration behind the song: In all that we face and go through, know that nothing can hold you down! Why? Because sickness couldn’t hold Jesus down, therefore it cannot hold you down, poverty couldn’t hold Him down, therefore it cannot hold you down,… I can go on and on, but whatever lies the enemy is trying to get you to believe about yourself, your success, your life, shut it down! Get up and arise! If it cannot touch Jesus, then it cannot touch you. So whatever it is you’re facing, arise and speak victory, see victory, for it is your birthright!! “Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you.” Isaiah 60:1 NKJV‬‬ Crown of Victory was born and raised in Belize City, Belize; a middle child of 16 siblings. She grew up in the church from childhood and her love for music began in primary school.

She led praise and worship in her class and eventually joined the school choir in college. She shares that worship has always been her expression of love and posture towards God. In 2002, Crown of Victory, her mother, and twin sister all moved to the United States in search of a new life together. They soon found a home church and God began to mold her and shift her into her assignment for His kingdom. She began playing the drums and from there the Lord elevated her to choir singer – then to worship leader; it is here where her calling in the Lord really took off.

Today, Crown of Victory ministers as worship leader at her home church - Christ Ambassadors Fellowship in Compton, California – as well as teaches and preaches the word to anyone who will listen. She shares that all of this has led her to where she is currently in the Christian music industry. She boldly states, “I am now a Gospel artist; ministering in the finished works of Christ Jesus through music.” God has blessed her with a wonderful husband that supports her calling and challenges her to grow in her music career.

She is honored to have been part of two musical collaborations so far with her husband, Wisdom; both of which were produced by acclaimed Producer, Judah Peters, based in the beautiful country of Trinidad and Tobago. “Praise God Non•Stop” was released in 2021 and was part of the Tun It Up Riddim and “My Season to Celebrate” was released in March 2022, as part of the Goodness Riddim Volume 2.

Crown of Victory lastly shares that she feels absolutely humbled and blessed to release her very first single, “Nothing Can Hold Me Down” in May 2022. The song is a Gospel Reggae track featured on another compilation album produced by Zj Dero from PRM Sounds, based in Kenya, but her story does not end there; Crown of Victory has more new music coming soon! She is also featured on another song with Wisdom scheduled for release in June 2022, in addition to more of her own independent material.
