Dub' is for W which equals "We."

K equals "Kings."
We..3..Kings!
3 MCs who came together for a common goal of spreading the gospel to all. We were already doing that separately with our individual groups. Fly was part of the group Chaos Theory. Shoebox Proper was with the group SHBX. G. MACbeth was with the group Kin-Folk. There was something about the vibe when the 3 of us came together. There was a brotherhood made even before we recorded our first song. Thanks to a mutual friend KARMA, he asked Fly and G. Mac if they would do a song for his The Gospelation 2 project. Fly came up with the idea of adding Shoebox Proper on the track. G. Mac and Shoebox P never met before but trusted the friend Fly who was the connection to them both. Before one verse was written, Shoebox P and G. MACbeth bonded. Praying for each other and giving brotherly love. When we came together and did the song Free Reign, it was an explosion and a stand out track for the album. Only from there it made since to try some other tracks. Those other tracks led to us to do an album and then the first Dub3K release "Gold, Frankincense, and Myrrh " was born. We were so proud of the project and continued continuity between us. The same love of the Lord and same lyrical complexities. When you make friends brothers first, everything else is easy. We first thought the alb would be a one off but it became so much more. The 3 became one because it wasn't their plan but God's plan. Pushing not for popularity but for the cause of Christ. We 3 Kings stands on that purpose. Bringing the gospel in true hip hop form with the same love and compassion as anyone else striving to be the best for the kingdom. We just venture to say we think we do it very well. Not because we are good but more so because God is great!
